jtown: izakaya haru ulala

tommy gets in on a little izakaya action at haru ulala in little tokyo

beverages: snow beauty, sayrui, and asahi

clams

agadashi tofu

fried chicken and fried potato taro balls

kakuni (pork)

butter scallops

beef short ribs with daikon

also consumed but not photographed: pechanga and eggplant

tommy says: the food was pretty good, service... not so much. the clams, agadashi tofu, fried potato taro balls, kakuni, pechanga, and eggplant were all yummy. fried chicken was bland, butter scallops were gross, and the beef short ribs weren't so great either (although the daikon was good). service can be pretty bad, so if you don't mind being neglected and having to constantly remind them about what you ordered, it may be worth a visit.
