san gabriel valley - alhambra: jazz cat cafe

tommy celebrates mother's day at jazz cat cafe in alhambra...

taiwanese fried pork chop

hot pot

orange chicken

tommy says: very flavorful and filling! the pork chop and orange chicken were quite tasty, and the breading on both were crisp. another dish (pineapple fried rice) had been ordered, but the server had failed to tell us that it was not available and brought out the orange chicken instead. be warned that they are currently revising the menu, so many of the items were no longer available... apparently they are going to be adding different fondues to the menu to replace some of the other items... the tea list is quite extensive, and were good. the hot pot will make you sweat from the heat, but at the end you get a tasty broth and a facial all in one.
